Discovering a new species of ancient whale

Undescribed, or poorly described paleontological specimens create gaps in our understanding of the diversity, disparity, anatomy and evolutionary relationships of past life.  Discovery and description of a new Squalodon suggests a previously unknown, unique speciation event occurred in the proto-Mediterranean.

Taxonomic review of a family of ancient whales

Taxonomic groups that contain junk data usually remain understudied and undervalued in the scientific record. Such junk data can be removed only through systematic review. Such review of a family of ancient whales reveals their true value to the scientific record.

Designing a new marketplace

This project originated from an idea that a new marketplace could be envisioned to facilitate the wholesale exchange of cellular services. Working with collaborators, Carl Gunell and Dan Westin, an entirely new concept for frictionless exchange of wholesale services between providers was imagined and patented.
